The estate's history begins with the Murzin cellars, built in 1857 on the present grounds of the winery. In the decades that followed, the cellars grew into the principal supplier of wines in the region, underground galleries that still anchor the house today.
The modern winery, JSC "Vinuri-Ialoveni", was founded in 1953 and remains the only Moldovan house producing pelicular ("sherry"-style, solera-matured) wines. Those famed casks later season the oak in which the Exclusive Collection matures.
Akademos 25-Year was created as a limited edition for the 70th Jubilee of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, marking 70 years since the country's first research institutions and 55 years since the Academy's founding. The name is a commemorative tribute to Moldovan scholarship.
Divin is Moldova's protected national spirit: an aged wine brandy produced exclusively in Moldova, matured in oak by law. A protected geographical indication in Moldova since 2012 and EU-protected since 18 October 2016, with the Exclusive Collection in the top XXO tier (20+ years).

Divin - 25 Years Aged
Akademos is an award-winning collection Divin, double-distilled in Charentais stills and aged for a quarter of a century in secular oak barrels previously used for mature Ialoveni pelicular wine. It presents a velvety, balanced taste with a complex aroma of roasted walnuts, honey, and subtle floral notes.
Divin - 30 Years Aged
Ambassador is a premium Divin crafted using a traditional Spanish solera method and aged for over 30 years in century-old oak barrels. It offers a complex bouquet of dried fruits and a harmonious, full taste with notes of honey and chocolate, finished with a label printed in gold leaf.
From the vineyards of the Codru region to bottling, every step follows the traditional method, measured not in months, but in decades.
White grapes of the Codru region - Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Aligoté, Rkatsiteli - are vinified into dry base wines destined for distillation.
The wines are double-distilled in Charentais (French) copper stills, the classical method that concentrates only the finest heart of the spirit.
The eau-de-vie enters secular oak casks previously used to mature Ialoveni pelicular wine, the same principle that makes Oloroso sherry casks prized the world over.
Akademos rests a quarter-century in cask. Ambassador is drawn from a traditional Spanish solera of century-old barrels and finished with a gold-leaf label.
